Position Summary
Welders at our Palatka, FL location perform FCAW & SMAW processes to code and standards, including repairs and additional tasks as assigned. This role requires meeting high production demands while maintaining excellent quality and ensuring a safe work environment.
Responsibilities

Perform welding processes: Air Arc, Grove Welds, Flux Core, Full Pen

Ensure proper weld profile using correct procedures

Prepare, clean, and set up welding surfaces

Use hand torch safely and effectively

Read and understand basic weld symbols and gauges
-
Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace for safety and efficiency

Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete work orders on time

Follow strict safety policies and procedures
Skills & Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
-
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
-
Must be able to read metric tapes
-
Team player with strong communication skills
-
Strong commitment to safety and attendance
-
Willingness to learn and grow within the team

Welding experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
-
Lift up to 40 lbs, carry up to 30 lbs
-
Push up to 50 lbs, pull up to 122 lbs of force

Stand, walk, stoop, and kneel up to 99% of shift
-
Good range of motion (reaching, bending, overhead work)

Strong hand dexterity and agility
Working Conditions

Indoor warehouse and outdoor work in all weather conditions

Exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, heavy steel, and moving equipment

Required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, steel-toed boots, and respirator for specific tasks
