Scope
The Windows Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows-based systems and infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of Windows operating systems, networking, and security. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Windows Server environments.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, security, and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Implement and manage Windows Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, and other Windows-based services.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Collaborate with IT team members to develop and implement IT strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Windows systems engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
- Past experience with SCCM/Intune.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra
- Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Linux skills are a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or similar certification.
- Certification in cloud platforms (AWS.).
- Knowledge of ITIL practices.
