Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to design, build, and maintain our corporate website and internal web applications. This role focuses on creating secure, scalable, and user-friendly WordPress solutions, including custom themes, plugins, API integrations, and headless/decoupled WordPress setups. You will collaborate with Marketing, IT, and other business units to ensure our digital presence meets business objectives while delivering excellent user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites, including public-facing sites and intranet platforms.

  • Build custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to business requirements.

  • Implement responsive design and ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA).

  • Integrate WordPress with third-party systems such as CRM, analytics, marketing automation, and SSO.

  • Manage WordPress hosting environments, monitor security, and optimize performance.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to implement SEO strategies, content updates, and design improvements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.

  • Monitor site performance, uptime, and analytics; provide actionable insights for improvement.

  • Stay updated on WordPress core updates, plugin vulnerabilities, and modern development trends.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience.

  • Proficient in PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL.

  • Experience with WordPress REST API, Gutenberg editor, and modern front-end frameworks like React or Vue.

  • Strong understanding of security best practices (SSL, role management, data protection).

  • Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker preferred).

  • Experience with SEO implementation and web performance optimization.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG / Section 508).

  • Familiarity with headless WordPress or decoupled architectures is a plus.
