Position Summary
We are seeking a Workshop Educator to join our education team. In this role, you’ll design and lead engaging, project-based workshops that teach technical skills in a safe and welcoming hands-on environment. You’ll support CBMM’s mission by delivering dynamic programming for youth, families, and lifelong learners on our beautiful 18-acre waterfront campus.
Primary Responsibilities

Develop and lead hands-on workshops tailored to specific age groups and learning objectives

Provide clear, engaging, and age-appropriate instruction on tools, materials, and techniques

Promote safety by monitoring participants and maintaining a secure workshop environment

Coordinate with other CBMM staff to ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and functioning
-
Maintain workshop spaces before, during, and after sessions, including cleanup and equipment checks

Manage communication with registrants and maintain accurate attendance records
Qualifications & Key Attributes

Experience or expertise in one or more of the following:
-
Woodworking, boatbuilding, carpentry

Leatherworking, metalworking, environmental design, or similar technical fields

Prior teaching experience in formal or informal learning environments preferred

Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with learners of all ages

Safety-conscious, adaptable, and enthusiastic

Physically able to work on CBMM’s campus, docks, and exhibits in various weather conditions
