We are seeking motivated Teen Corps/Youth Apprentices who want to learn carpentry and construction skills in a hands-on environment. Apprentices will work alongside experienced craftsmen, gaining valuable exposure to multiple trades while developing teamwork, safety awareness, and technical skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Youth Apprentices will gain experience in:

  • Rough and finish carpentry, building forms, installing doors and hardware

  • General labor support

  • Assisting with layout and measurements

  • Installing bollards, joint sealants, and firestopping

  • Placing and finishing concrete, installing rebar

  • Cabling and basic plumbing/electrical helper tasks

  • Painting, waterproofing, and accessory installation

  • Safety and quality support activities

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Skill Requirements:

  • Must be in good standing with high school

  • Completed OSHA 10 certification (must provide a copy)

  • Currently enrolled as a high school student

  • Must be 16–18 years old

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods

  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, or crawl

  • Regularly lift and carry 5–25 lbs; often lift 25–50 lbs; occasionally lift 50–100 lbs

Work Environment:

  • Office, job site, or workstation settings

  • May work at heights, outdoors, or in varying weather conditions

  • Possible exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, noise, electricity, or heavy machinery

  • Strict adherence to safety rules and procedures is required
